Malayo Man Ay Malapit Din

Flaws

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the masters house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his masters house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. “I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you.”"Why?”asked the bearer. “What are you ashamed of?”"I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver

Sleeping Dog

One afternoon, I was in the back yard hanging the laundry when an old, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard. I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home. But when I walked into the house, he followed me, sauntered down the hall and fell asleep in a corner. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out. The next day he was back. He resumed his position in the hallway and slept for an hour. This continued for several weeks. Curious, I pinned a note to his collar: “Every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.” The next day he arrived with a different note pinned to his collar: “He lives in a home with ten children – he’s trying to catch up on his sleep.

Pieces of Advice Part 2

Pieces of Advice

Two FROGS. :|

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time. Lessons of the story: There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it t

I Know the SECRET..

PROMISE OF GOD One day, one friend asked another,  "How is it that you are always so happy?  You have so much energy,  and you never seem to get down."  With her eyes smiling, she said,  "I know the Secret!"  "What secret is that?"  To which she replied,  "I'll tell you all about it,  but you have to promise to  share the Secret with others."  "The Secret is this:  I have learned there is little I can do  in my life that will make me truly happy.  I must depend on God to make  me happy and to meet my needs.  When a need arises in my life,  I have to trust God to supply  according to HIS riches.  I have learned most of the time  I don't need half of what I think I do.  He has never let me down.  Since I learned that 'Secret', I am happy."  The questioner's first thought was,  "That's too simple!"  But upon reflecting over h
